Description
This was the 124th Paramount Frame Built at Schwinn’s Chicago Factory in 1973, Made in USASeat Tube: Schwinn measured Center of BB to top of seat post tube back then so this is a 22” or 56CM frame. If you applied Center to Center measurement commonly used today it is a 54CM Frame with a 54CM Top Tube w/73 degree head & seat tube angles. Campy drop-outs have eyelets for mounting fenders, racks, etc
The paint job was done by someone who used an incompatible clear coat & some clear coats caused paint to wrinkle. But that same clear coat protected the chrome. It rubs off with a rag & Goof-Off to reveal chrome is in VGC, save for back of head tube lug
Frame checked using the string method & is straight and all threads are solid & in VGC, no dents in tubes, braze-ons are all straight. This frame is ugly but it's in VGC
Clear coating has protected the chrome. Note pictures where I used goof off and a towel to remove clear coat. Chrome is solid & clean underneath. Some rust on back of head tube lugs that should clean up with evapo rust
Includes original Campagnolo Record Headset. Headset is dirty but very clean chrome underneath & no pitting anywhere in races
