    20th Century Chinese Soapstone Carving.
    Chinese pale soapstone carving of two ducks with a lotus flower on integeral dark coloured stone base. The two ducks are symbols of harmony and the lotus flower is the symbol of purity hence "pure harmony", this piece would have been gifted in ancient China on the occasion of a marriage.
