Hello, you are viewing my listing for an Antique Chinese Buddhist Wood Carving showing an Elderly Spiritual Man Sitting On An Animal.  I am unsure of what type of animal the man is sitting on.  This wood carving weighs approx. .8 pounds and measures 9 and 1/4" tall by 4" wide by 3" deep.  There is wear present to this carving including a break to the right arm and a break to the right leg.  There are some small chips present as well.  There is wonderful aged patina and wear throughout.  There are no repairs.  This is a must have wood carving for the serious collector of Chinese Wood carvings.  There is a small square present on the back of the man that appears to open up.  I tried to open it and could not.
