    Description:
    This is a large wood figurine carving and rather heavy wood with beautiful natural brown polished patina, probably semi-precious rose wood.  The carving style of the statue indicates it's from Southern Chine region.
    The carving depict a young boy holding up a gourd shaped bottle in an offering gesture.  In Chinese mythology, the gourd bottle would most like hold medicinal wine or the immortal elixir that give good health and longivity.
