The
Dalmatian
is full of character!
His look (its a guy...check it out) is the character of a Dalmatian.
The studio that made this dog came from south China.
The studio’s production was during the late teens and 1920’s until the Japanese War.
After the war, it was one of few left until the Communists took over.
The puppy was molded and then sculptured by an artisan  The mold is much older ~ Dog is 1920-30.
As part of the aging process, the Dalmatian has patina.  The eyes are Peking glass, the character and balance of sculpture depicts the art, and there are no damages.  From the markings on the bottom, the item was made for export.  These type of items were popular during the late 20s and 40s before the communists take over.
This comes from old stock & was never used.
The Dalmatian measures 11" high, 8" deep, & 5-1/4" across.

The natural patina of age cannot be avoided.
