PEDERSEN truss frame contemporary build classic vintage steel bicycle

Description

This is a contemporary (2003) build of the classic Pedersen truss frame bicycle, revived by Jesper Sølling in Copenhagen where he's still building them.
It's a remarkable design, then and now, for an upright commuter or city bike with the iconoclastic 'hammock' saddle.
This bike was built around a German Rohloff hub, which is a 14 speed internal gear hub. This is an excellent low maintenance wide range hub that can handle quite steep hills without derailleurs. Twist grip shifter.
It also has a Schmidt front generator hub which powers the Lumotecfront light.
This bike is very rare in the US. For the collector, or someone interested in riding something unique and comfortable. Upright, elbows-bent riding position.
For a taller (or long legged) rider, 6' - 6' 2" probably best.
Steel truss (aka 'cross') frame, powdercoated in a very dark green, with a red head tube.
Leather hammock saddle.
Pauls brakes and levers, anodized red.
TA Cyclotouriste crank with 46t chain ring.
Custom leather frame bag with shoulder strap to remove and carry, made for the unique Pedersen handlebar.
Rosewood wooden fenders.
Mavis SUP rims.
WTB rear tire.
Danish leather grips.
Includes brass bell.
