Before the first use, please adjust the tester for the pool water or spa water to be tested in the following order.
1. test the pool or spa water with a conventional liquid test kit.
2. record the chlorine reading for backup (1.5 PPM).
3. make no adjustments to the PH.
To find the tester's adjustment point.
A. Place an AA 1.5 V battery (positive terminal facing up) in the battery slot of the handle.
B. Hold the tester in one hand and the test rod in the other.
C. Insert the cleaned metal rod into the water to the black position.
D. Gently stir the water with the metal rod.
E. While the rod remains in the water, turn the knob on the front of the meter toward
C^l
until it cannot move any further. Then slowly turn it back to the right until the needle points to the position of the result measured by the conventional liquid test kit.
Testing for chlorine content.
The recommended chlorine level for swimming pool water or spa water is 1.2 to 1.7 ppm.
1、Set the pointer to the "adjustment point" position.
2. Hold the tester in one hand and the test rod in the other, and insert the metal rod into the water to the black position. Wait until the pointer stops swinging and then take a reading.
3、Let the test stick stay in the water and continue the pH test according to the instruction.
Testing pH:
Recommended chlorine level for pool or spa water is 7.2 to 7.8
1、 Keep the test stick in the water and turn the knob in the pH direction until it beeps (the battery must be removed when reading the pH value).
2. Wait until the pointer stops swinging and then take a pH reading.
3. Gently dry the test stick, insert it into the slot next to the tester and store it away.
F. Remove the test rod from the water, taking care not to move the knob. The pointer will slide to the right and stop at a letter between A and E. This letter is the adjustment point. This letter is the adjustment point.
Please note: The meter must be set to the "adjustment point" before each chlorine test.
