here are no chips, cracks or noticeable large scratches

Just some light
scratching
from normal usage and maybe a little light residue stain at the bottom of the flask.
The glass is very high quality glass as well and not the cheap stuff you see sold from overseas.  It will be ready to use out of the box.  You really can't go wrong!
