Unusual Antique Chinese Lamp Base, Large Symbols/Writing,Brass/Bronze?, 14.75 Lb

Unusual lamp base with Chinese symbols in a repetitive pattern around the base and body. I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW WHAT THEY SAY IF ANYBODY CAN TRANSLATE IT FOR ME. There are 3 different symbols that repeat in the 10 panel design. Those appear to have been applied separately. I do not know the age, but, it is quite old. It is two pieces(base & body) with one modern screw holding them together at the moment. I see spots that look like brass or bronze on the edges but I also see the rust spots. A MAGNET DOES NIOT STICK. Could also be pot metal. It measures about 15" tall and 13" across at widest point. Weight of the pieces 14.75 pounds. Needs cleaning but. Selling as is, as shown.
