  • Condition: No dents or kickstand damage. Paint is in poor condition with lots of fading, chips and scrapes rust spots and poor quality touch ups. No signs of significant internal rust. Headset is in working shape though you will probably want to repack for optimal performance.

    Description

    Here's a seldom seen vintage 1985 Trek 850 800 Series rigid hardtail Cromoly steel mountain bike frame set
    Extra Extra large 24" frame (the largest they made that year, see below for full measurements)
    Black
    Made in USA out of Tange Prestige MTB Cr-Mo Double Butted steel tubes
    No dents or tubing damage, no kickstand damage
    The finish is in very poor shape with lots of fading, rock chips, scratches, rust spots and very poor quality touch-ups, see pics. Obviously left out in the weather but I don't see any signs of significant internal rust.
    No bottom bracket included
    The headset is in working condition though you may want to adjust or repack for optimal performance
    Lots of fun possibilities with this frame including commuting, gravel, cool retro all-rounder / cruiser / utility bike build, if you strip it and repaint it your favorite color you will have a quality steel ride that will last a lifetime.
